The base of our life
Soil is the base of our life, and you will see everything I do is connected to it. Yemen has miserable soil — support the farmers there and they become independent.
Soil is so important because this is the base of our life. And you will see that everything I am doing is connected — it is not that they are separated. Save Soil is also a project for Yemen, because Yemen has miserable soil. If we can support the farmers there, then they are independent.
My wish is that this becomes a movement — that every Sunday, everywhere, people are moving forward. You are the movement. If you are the movement, you have to move.
The Berlin marathon draws people even from Frankfurt, from Hannover, from Munich. That is how the community grows — at events like this, they come together, and it becomes a green wave. My goal: at least a thousand people running in Save Soil shirts.
It works like this: people come to the Soil Sunday. If they are committed and supporting this movement, after a while they get a Save Soil shirt. And then, when they run for Save Soil, we pay their entry — we, or our partners, we sponsor the response for them.
